Bottle Inspection

Basic bottle shape with a standard screw on black cap. Dark brown sauce. It warns you of it’s heat before you even open it.

Pourability

The sauce moves quickly indicating a thinner sauce. Be careful as it comes out of the bottle fast. Zero concern of not being able to get all of the sauce out of the bottle.

Smell & Taste

This is pure pepper here. Nothing much else. The ingredients label backs that up. Just smell a ghost pepper, and that is what this sauce smells like. It has a natural smokiness. A single whiff sends shivers down your spine. This sauce is HOT. Not for the faint of heart. The first thing you experieince is a sting in your nasal cavity followed by the taste of pure ghost pepper. This builds a little bit on the center of your tongue and then quickly dissipates. DOT NOT think this is the end and go for more. Because without warning you will notice that you are doing controlled breaths to cool your entire mouth. Even 20 minutes later there is a light tingle on the front center of the tongue.

Final Thoughts

I love Ghost Pepper. The natural smokiness and the way it hits is perfect. Have a little bit with a sausage biscuit and coffee. The flavor of everything changes drastically. Something about the ghost pepper changes the way coffee tastes. Due to the way this sauce acts, most will want to keep some sweet BBQ sauce, ranch or ice cream handy. Start small, just a small drop and work your way up.

Chris Thompson

Chris found his love for hot sauce in 2009. After moving away from home and learning to cook, he ruined many meals. Being too poor to throw the food away, it was then covered in hot sauce just to make it edible. This quickly evolved into a love for the nuances and intricacies of various peppers and how they can change the overall depth of a dish.
