Bio

Truff started out as a food blog. They launched their hot sauce and quickly grew. Read more on their LinkedIn page.

Bottle Inspection

Straight Cylyndrical bottle with a Diamond like shpaed cap. This is a thcik and creamy orange sauce that moves slowly.

Pourability

It pours slowly out of an open mouth, but once it gains momentum it comes out fast.

Smell & Taste

Truffle rings hard with this saucer. Not being used to the flavor of truffle, this sauce was hard to get down the first time. It’s funky, in the way blue cheese is compared to more popular cheeses. It has a sweetness, but it is quickly followed by a rich earthy flavor. There is a slight bit of heat, but nothing even remotely strong. There is a hotter version. Check back for a review of it.

Final Thoughts

After a few nights of just using a few drops here and there, the flavor started to grow on me. I found myself pouring more and more with each plate.

Chris Thompson

Chris found his love for hot sauce in 2009. After moving away from home and learning to cook, he ruined many meals. Being too poor to throw the food away, it was then covered in hot sauce just to make it edible. This quickly evolved into a love for the nuances and intricacies of various peppers and how they can change the overall depth of a dish.
