Bio

Tattoo Hot Sauces are known for their adventurous flavor profiles that draw inspiration from global cuisines. The Scotch Bonnet Curry flavor is a testament to their creativity, combining Caribbean heat with the rich, aromatic spices of Indian curry.

Bottle Inspection

This bottle is very eye catching. It is simple yet engaging. The nice symmetrical shape like pattern contrasts nicely with the color of the sauce which has a dark yellow hue.

Pourability

This sauce is not very thick. It can be poured out very easily. The lid leaves a bit to be desired, as the tip has a cover that can easily get lost or thrown away, thus leaving your sauce open to the surrounding air. With the bottle being plastic, you can squeeze it and force as much as you need with time to spare.

Smell & Taste

This sauce smells exactly as you would expect. That curry smell rings through the air. A sweet note combined with a bit of burn. Coincidentally, the taste is exactly the same as the smell. A light smokiness from the Scotch Bonnet perfectly compliments the sweet and vibrant curry flavors.

Final Thoughts

This is basically a thick curry sauce that you can slather over just about anything. It is not very hot so it can be used in excess. This unfortunately means that the bottle can find itself empty almost right away. The larger bottle size is welcome. Tattoo’s website appears to be down, their sauces are on closeout at my local store, AND this sauce is out of stock on their Amazon store. So I do not know what is going on with this brand. I would love to see this sauce more readily available. I might have to figure out the recipe myself if this product is discontinued.

Chris Thompson

Chris found his love for hot sauce in 2009. After moving away from home and learning to cook, he ruined many meals. Being too poor to throw the food away, it was then covered in hot sauce just to make it edible. This quickly evolved into a love for the nuances and intricacies of various peppers and how they can change the overall depth of a dish.
