Description: Chile de árbol means “Tree Chili” in Spanish. It is a common and strong chili pepper that grows in Mexico.
Shape: Thin and long with a pointed tip
Growing Season: Spring and/or Summer
Growing Conditions: Needs as much sun as possible
Care: These peppers need a lot of heat to grow properly. They start out green and turn red as they ripen.
Possible Health Benefits: Vitamin A Vitamin C both promote skin health as well as eyes (So long as you dont get any of the pepper on them!). Capsaicin is great for your metabolism as well.
Other Varieties: Often found dried and pwdered. They retain their red color when dried which makes them popular for decorations.
