Back Up and Running After Hurricane Helene

I am located in western NC and things slowed a bit after Hurricane Helene swept the area. My family and I are very fortunate and had little to no loss, but many around us did not fare as well. A lot of time has been spent volunteering and getting food, clothes, toys and more to the people affected by this tragic event.

After a month without service, the internet is back up and running, and I am ready to start reviewing more sauces! There is a wooden crate filled to the top with sauces that need to be tested.

I am also working on a new sauce recipe! During the power outages a neighbor gave me a bag full of Jalapeno, Poblano and Fish peppers! I am trying to make a nice sauce that you can slather on everything without burning your tongue off. I will circle back and update you when I have this nailed down! Version 2.0 was just brewed up and Ive already killed 1 of the 3 bottles that I made. Bottle number 3 is going to be gifted to the neighbor that gave me the peppers.

So check back soon! I already posted a few Hot Ones sauce reviews in the last week and have plenty more on the way.

Chris found his love for hot sauce in 2009. After moving away from home and learning to cook, he ruined many meals. Being too poor to throw the food away, it was then covered in hot sauce just to make it edible. This quickly evolved into a love for the nuances and intricacies of various peppers and how they can change the overall depth of a dish.
